My experience as a special education biology high school teacher deeply informs and strengthens the mission of Nashoba Valley Life Sciences. I have spent years working directly with students who face a range of learning and accessibility challenges, and I’ve seen firsthand the transformative impact that inclusive, hands-on science education can have. This background has equipped me with the skills to design curriculum and learning environments that meet diverse needs, and to advocate for students who are often overlooked in traditional STEM pipelines. It has also instilled in me a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that underserved and disabled students face, which drives my commitment to creating equitable opportunities through our programs.

One of my proudest accomplishments is having the courage to start Nashoba Valley Life Sciences—a leap of faith rooted in my passion for education and belief in every student's potential. Launching this company has allowed me to turn years of teaching experience into a broader mission, one that reaches beyond the classroom to uplift entire communities. But what truly inspires me are the small, powerful moments of impact. This past school year, a nonverbal student I had worked with all year approached me on the last day and, for the first time, spoke aloud to tell me how much she enjoyed my teaching. That moment reminded me why I do this work: to create safe, inclusive spaces where students feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving more than they ever imagined. Starting this company is a continuation of that mission—amplifying those moments of transformation on a larger scale.
